The new Eagle Scout Purple Martin Site was a great addition to the Grand Forks County Historical Society. We attracted Purple Martins to the site the very first spring and fledged young later on that summer. Check out the the video Purple Martin Association of the Dakotas Receives Key at Eagle Scout Court of Honor to see the new site.

The site was put up over Labor Day 2015. There were nest and eggs for two pair, but only one pair fledged young. I don't know why the other nest failed, but the eggs were already brooding when the pair left.
