Re: 2020

I have wood slide out trays for my satelite T14 as well as my metal grandpas modified deep compartment houses. We used cedar for the T14, more expensive with cedar but worth the value.

Re: PMOD SITE

ASYs are one week early here in Iowa. Across the board with our members in comparison to last years arrival dates it is one week difference. If things go as they are right now, I expect martins will also arrive about one week early in the Dakotas. Best of luck everyone.

Re: 2020

Jerome, There are some pretty nice slide-out trays on the market. I usually try to build everything on my own. I like to be a handyman when it comes to my martin set up. I made 36 wooden slide-out trays for my own metal houses as well as for a public satelite colony. I actually built the wood T14 fo...

Re: 2020

Hi Jerome, Thanks for the encouragement of my new endeavor on perpetually improving my set up. I only have a few small things to finish before the end of next month (March). I will be adding PEX tubing perches to the owl cages positioned about a foot just in front of the gourd entrances. I will also...

Yep. I'm still building my colony set up. I will have a total of 84 compartments for the 2020 season. I wish you the best this year and hope to see your colony continue to grow.

Re: Group Arrives

Slight increase from last year. The SYs have moved in and are raising hell. lol. Just kidding, they are just a bunch of juveniles acting up. Lots of scrambled eggs over the past few weeks here in Iowa. Hope all is well at your location.

Re: Group Arrives

I had a single ASY male for a week and a half before the next one arrived. They seemed to stragle in this year, but I have had it happen like at your location in past years.

Re: PURPLE MARTIN

The QR codes are a great tool for the tech knowledgable on educational signs. technology is great in that it pulls in younger people getting started in martin landlord activities.
