Re: Colony update 05/02/2015

Al I know this is WAY late, but maybe it's never too late, for this endeavor? I learned about "constant improvement" at a fairly young age, so that may be what pushes me to do/say what I do. I'm at an age along with some of my clients/friends, where interests have changed from hunting/punc...

Re: 2015 production?

Your group was blessed to have good production, in-spite of the weather all around.
Lets hope this carries into 2016 for all and that some of us "nestles waiters" get some.
May the aerial competitor/predators decline, allowing a stronger than ever return/production for 2016!

Re: SY's arrived in numbers this morning

AL "You need to have successful colonies fledging young in the general area and hope some find the vacant housing. Ideal site location helps lure them." I totally agree /w your above statement, but putting up housing and jumping thru hoops to make upgrades in our obviously "Martin Poo...

Re: 2015 production?

AL Congrats on the colony growth, in-spite of the fate of many "early birds" the numbers returning north, especially S.Y. birds at this time is inspiring. (An S.Y-F camped here for 5 days but due to the lack of P.M, and a mate, it left.) The banding project may reveal some real interesting...

Dan

Hope someone hop's on with an answer to your question, regarding where
the P.M. go during inclement weather?

Is your group seeing any S.Y. birds returning :?:

Is your colony building?

How's nest building/egg production so far?

Re: SY's arrived in numbers this morning

Al Good your seeing S.Y.'s. Spose your exited about the potential to fill the extra 32 compartments! Colony's around the area must be doing a good job of screen/mop the extra's, since haven't seen a Purple Feather near the "potential" colony sites I monitor. How's egg production, any getti...
