Re: I'm worried. My PM's have disappeared. Cold weather prob

Morning Dan If their forage disappeared, they are probably in search-of. They went missing at a couple local sites, as well, but did return. Sure hope your P.M.'s reappear, we need every one! Have you seen any S.Y. birds in your area Our T.S. just returned for the fifth time, this spring! Our Bluebi...

Re: 1st SY's arrived 05/13/2015

Al, Congrats on your S.Y. arrival Thanks for your P.M. forage assistance, generosity and Persistence!!! Wonder if their "Northern Forage" is causing a lack of interest in Crickets? Are you near your "goal" P.M numbers? Sounds like we need a "bill" pushed thru, to allow ...

Re: Colony update 05/02/2015

Sometimes it seems the temp. average/forage ratio, equals P.M. numbers!? Anyway the weather fronts have caused them to do the "Swooping Two-step" all the way up, again this spring! Don't mean to sidetrack your post, but I have to ask= Your thoughts on how we could generate some interest fo...

Re: Colony update 05/02/2015

Al Like your thought on the S.Y.'s, There's a group just north of you waiting. From what I'v read, your situation on the Regulars is par, all the way to the Gulf. A.S.Y's are slowly returning, but S.Y.'s in fair numbers are already filling-in at some sites. AS Caroline mentioned, her first returnee ...

Re: Changing the "style" of housing and it's effect on birds

Dan Hope you fill as well, leaving no room for EHS! A balance beam-bait trap, (monitored) may be a good option, for ongoing EHS control, thru-out the season. P.M. have been taking their time, returning to Grand forks/Thief River Falls areas as well, which could work good, considering the Yo Yo weath...

Re: Changing the "style" of housing and it's effect on birds

Good Morning, Dan WELCOME TO THE FORUM! I'd guess, if their same compartments are available and location is similar. That they would readily accept your housing. As you may have noticed, AllenH reported his first ASY-M at Crookston, so they're "Wingin" north. What is your colony size and l...
