Hi Martineers
Small cloud of PM arrived over our site around mid day, circling n singing.
My partner called to describe the Happy commotion & was so taken up, didn't
think to grab camera, till birds started descending onto housing. Before
Commotion setteled, 2 additional ASY-M & 1 SY-f were Swooping between
Systems, checking cubys. A Lot O circling n chattering took place before all
Settled in to Roost, just before dusk!
This is same day season started in 2018!
Anyone experienced similar?
Group Arrives
Re: Group Arrives
I had a single ASY male for a week and a half before the next one arrived. They seemed to stragle in this year, but I have had it happen like at your location in past years.
Nest checks, supplement feeding and good landlord practices make for a healthy colony.

Yah, mom nature seems to be Shaking thinks up a bit!
Five pair propagated here 2018, our 2nd season, in this PM poor region.
Not expecting any monumental change, tho a small increase might be nice.
Are your numbers adding up, many SY yet?

Re: Group Arrives
Slight increase from last year. The SYs have moved in and are raising hell. lol. Just kidding, they are just a bunch of juveniles acting up. Lots of scrambled eggs over the past few weeks here in Iowa. Hope all is well at your location.

Have got to ask; did u set a Goal for number of pairs hosted?
If so, have u reached that goal, meaning SY's will be moving up
to others trying to Start or build?
